Hmm..today had sailing. Today was the first day of my sailing competitions. I was supposed to be at the sailing centre at 8.30am, so I woke up at around 7.30am to get ready. I ate a heavy breakfast and my mom dropped me off at the sailing centre.
When I arrived at the sailing centre, I rigged up my boat.( I use the byte) After rigging up my boat, I just waited for the signal to launch our boats. My friends and I waited, waited and waited from around 10plus to about 12pm. Duh..wasted 2hours because the race officials said that there was no wind.
So at 12pm, we launched our boats and gathered at sea. There were more than 100 boats out at sea! So many! We were practically having trafic jam out at sea. Haha! Then we waited until 1pm, when the race officials horned the first signal to the start of the countdown. Everyone sailed close to the starting line to get a good start. And off we went when the horn signalled!
First race was okay la. Not too bad I think. I think it is the best of the three races. Then the second race was crap! The wind tide was so strong la! I can feel the waves crashing onto my boat! Then came the rain..made it even worse lor.. The boat seemed to have gone out of control in the crazy weather. Finally was the third race. Was no good again. DNF lor! (Did not finish) DNF coz the race officials ask us to go back to shore before they lock the gates and stuff..blah. Tmw then I talk again about the competition la. Got to go le!
