Hey people! I'm back to blogging after disappearing for dunno how many centuries. Haha. Not sure what to blog about though coz my time have been spent in a boring way these few days. I shall share about my sis's birthday which was just over yesterday first.

21st Jan- Lyndsey's birthday!

Congrats lyn! You're one year older and hopefully you are one year wiser too! Haha. You're already sec3 this year and you're gonna take your o levels in roughly 2 years' time! All the best with the intense rigour that the school is putting you all through now. I know it is a little crazy having remedials everyday until 5pm for 2 whole years, but hopefully you will get used to it and you will benefit from it! Don't look at me coz I'm a failed experiment. -.- In short, i hope that your school life, family life and relationships can strike a balance! I'm thankful that you have a caring and committed boyfriend too to take care of you and help you when you encounter problems! Haha. Hope you like the presents that we bought for you!

Okay that's all on my sis. Haha. Shall divert more attention to other matters such as myself now. HAHA.
I have been rotting at home these few days sending lots of job application emails to companies with my resume attached inside but i have yet to gotten any replies. Oh wait, actually i did get a call from the manpower job agency the other day on two job offers but i turned both down. Yea i know I'm being selective and picky but you will understand why when i state what kinda jobs they offered me.

Job Number 1

Sell beer.

I can't imagining myself walking around promoting and selling beer man. I'm supposed to promote Tiger Beer. What do they take me for man? Some hot chick? -.- I don't think any 'old uncles' would be attracted to someone like me right? LOL.

Job Number 2

Attend to customers who have enquiries at mrt control stations or bus terminals.

Okay, i don't have a problem attending to customers and telling them what functions their ez-link card have and blah blah blah. I don't have an issue standing there from 8am to 9pm everyday too. It's just that i don't think i can take it when some customers flare up and vent their anger on me asking why the queue is so long or slow. Plus the pay is a pitiful $5 per hour. Man, even worse than my previous restaurant job!

In the first place, the reason why I'm applying for a job is because i wanna learn new skills and gain experience. I hope to get into a sales job or an office job. Not some job that i have to sell beer to 'old uncles' or standing the whole day at the mrt station hearing customers voice their complains! I think that's kinda meaningless and at the end of the day, i don't really gain much valuable working experience.

Ah man. I'm beginning to worry when i can get a job and start work. Hope I'll get a DECENT job soon! =)

Malaysia Trip Dec08
Saturday, January 3, 2009

Here's the long awaited blog post on my malaysia trip Dec2008!

Dec 19th

Departed singapore at around noon and we went to malaysia via my dad's car. Took a 4 to 5hours ride before we reached our destination. It was kinda different this year. Instead of going to kajang first, ( where my grandfather and grandmother stayed) we put up at my second uncle's house which was another hour's drive from kajang.

Dec 20th

Woke up in the morning at around 9am and i walked around my uncle's spacious house. Oh ya, at around 1am the previous night when i was asleep, my third uncle and aunt flew from Singapore and put up at my second uncle's house as well. We basically spent the day getting ready for my grandmother's 70th birthday or rather known as the 'da shou' by the Chinese. Everyone dressed up in formal wear and headed towards the restaurant at around 4pm. We reached 'da tong' restaurant at around 5pm and it was rather empty coz most of our guests had not arrived. By the way, we booked one section of the restaurant so we had about 20 tables to ourselves. Haha. Being the hosts, we had to help out in the last minute decoration and arrangement of the tables. The guests started flowing in at around 6.30pm and soon the function room was filled up. We kicked off the event with my second uncle being the emcee and having him to introduce the 'stars' of the day! The lights were dimmed and my grandmother and grandfather walked into the room on the red carpet. Music was playing in the background while they stepped onto the stage with the spotlight shining at them. Haha. What a dramatic scene!
We had a video showing their past and the video also contained a lot of the past memories that my grandparents spent together because it just happens to be their 50th wedding anniversary too! Yea basically we had dinner, two other videos and a singing session! Haha.

Here's some photos taken during the dinner!
