Shall blog about my outing with Jem (for those who still don't know, Jem is the short form of Jeremy's name -.-) and Noel yesterday!

Met Jem at parkway parade Macs at around noon yesterday. We were supposed to meet at 11.30am but Jem was late as usual. -.- I arrived at parkway at around 11am to run errands before arriving at Macs at our supposedly meeting time. I killed time by listening to music and reading while waiting for him. Then he arrived at noon and we went to our usual spot, Parkway Centre 10th storey, to play pool. =) Played for about an hour until Noel smsed to tell us that he just finished school. We left the pool centre and had to drop by in TK first before meeting Noel coz Jem had to collect stuff from one of his friends. Going back to school wasn't even on my agenda and i wasn't mentally prepared! So we spent about half an hour at TK before we went to suntec to meet Noel. We arrived at suntec at around 3pm. We were planning to catch a movie at suntec initially and Jem suggested watching Valkyrie but the show times were kinda late at around almost 5pm before the show starts so we decided to walk to Marina Square to try our luck for an earlier time slot.

Reached Marina Square after a short walk and we were lucky to be able to get an earlier time slot! So we booked our tickets and had about 20mins to kill. We didn't know what to do during the 20mins of waiting time so we decided to enter the cinema hall earlier. Noel bought some popcorn jumbo pack and we went to the cinema hall to be seated. It was pitch dark and there was no one so we could sit anywhere we wanted. We finally decided to sit right smack in the centre of the cinema. The show lasted for slightly over 2 hours. I would say the show is quite interesting, showing us the history of brave men in Germany during World War II attempting to assassinate and get rid of Hitler's regime. I would recommend it to those who are interested in World War II happenings in Germany but for those who don't like war films, i would say this show is a no-no.

Here's a brief description of the movie plot-

"The "July 20 Plot" on Hitler's life is one of the most heroic but least known episodes of World War II. Severely wounded in combat, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg returns from Africa to join the German Resistance and help create Operation Valkyrie, a complex plan that will allow a shadow government to replace Hitler once he is dead. However fate and circumstance conspire to thrust Stauffenberg into an imminent ultimatum. Not only must he lead the coup and seize control of his nation's government, he must also kill Hitler himself. "

After the show ended, it was already slightly over 7pm. We went to Topshop to look at clothes before Noel said that he had to reach home early. -.- So Jem and I walked Noel to the City Hall mrt station before deciding what we were gonna do next. We felt kinda hungry so we went for dinner. We walked back to Marina Square and had dinner at the Billy Bombers outlet there. As Jem was a staff at another outlet, he could get a 25% discount. Both of us had some beef steak served with fries and spinach followed by a milkshake after that. Spent some time chatting and comparing the standard of Jem's workplace at Century Square with the Marina Square's Billy Bombers. Haha.
