Poly Medical Check-up!

Woke up exceptionally early at 7.30am yesterday to eat breakfast and get ready for my medical check-up. I had a quick breakfast and had a quick shower before proceeding to the nearest identified clinic with my mom for my Poly Medical Check-up. I went to the Chai Chee outlet which was the only one in the East.
Arrived there at about 9am (it opens at 8.30am) and to my surprise, there were already a lot of students who were sitting down waiting for their queue number. My queue number was 61 and i was kinda surprised that there were actually 60 students ahead of me! This shows how "kiasu" Singaporeans are. Waking up super early way before the opening hours and already queuing up outside the clinic before it opens. Haha. Anyway, i spent my time listening to music and reading my book while waiting for my turn to approach the counter. I waited for about an hour before i was finally called upon. I approached the counter quite hesitantly, not knowing what to expect. The gentleman who was seated opposite me just smiled and passed me a few pieces of paper and a plastic cup with some kinda stick inside. He told me that the "stick" was actually a urine indicator and i had to proceed to the toilet to have my urine "tested". He told me that i had to pee inside the cup and dip the indicator inside. I could throw the cup away after that, but i had to hold on the indicator. Yucks. =____________=
I went out of the toilet and joined a queue of students also holding the '"pee indicator". I had to queue up standing this time holding onto the disgusting pee indicator. I bet the whole queue must have reeked of urine! Thankfully, i was having a slight flu yesterday. Couldn't smell anything. =) When it was my turn, i had to pass a nurse the "pee indicator" and step onto a machine to take my height and weight. I saw the nurse scribble "Height: 175, Weight:62". C'mon! I'm already 180cm and i think the machine is seriously faulty! Anyway, i proceeded with the blood pressure test and eye sight test next. Passed! Then i was told by another nurse to proceed to room 7 and 11. Wait, or was it 11 and 7.. Heck! I kinda forgot the sequence of numbers and i went to queue up for room 7 first. I stood there waiting for my turn for about another one hour. -.- It was seriously darn boring and i called people and smsed to keep myself occupied. Haha. When it was finally my turn, i went into the room and there was this old doctor attending to me. I guess he must be in his 70's. He didn't attend to me immediately but turned towards his computer to type in some documents first. After he was done with his typing, which took 10mins, then he only turned to me and ask, "Poly student check-up?" I replied "Yes" and he started filling up some kinda form. He just merely asked me whether i had this disease or that disease and then asked me to show him my teeth and back. Didn't take my temperature or check other things. After muttering some stuff to himself, he told me that he was done and i could leave. I was just about to leave when i suddenly remembered that i was supposed to go to room 11! I rushed there, expecting to see another long queue but to my surprise, there wasn't even a single soul in sight! I went over to some nurses and asked them politely whether i had to go to room 11 and what it was for. One of them led me in and i could feel some kinda cold aura. The room was dimly lit and it felt cold. There was this big thing right in the middle of the room and the nurse told me to take off my... metallic chain. She told me to place my chest on that big big thing and hug it tight.. HAHA. Okay, enough of suspense here. I'm just cooking up some cock and bull story. Anyway, the room was really dimly lit and i was supposed to take my X-ray! It took less than a second and before i knew it, the whole process was over. I went back to the sitting area where my mom was sitting and i left the clinic with her. By the time i left the clinic, it was already about noon. 3 whole hours spent for my medical check-up! Out of the 3 hours spent, 2 hours was spent on queuing up. -.- My dad came to pick us up during his lunch break to go for lunch. We had lunch at a nearby hawker centre before going home. I reached home at around 1.30pm and was supposed to meet my friend Clarence at Parkway Macs. Met him there at 2.30pm and we proceeded upstairs to do what else but pool. Haha. Played with him till about 5pm before we left the place. We wanted to play basketball initially but there were many people playing and we were in inappropriate attire. We took a bus back together as we lived very near each other. Reached home to have a little snack and watch tv before i felt tired and took a short nap till dinner time. As for today, there aren't any special plans to go out or whatever. Noel just ended school and he will be coming to my house to meet me and play pool. He's gone pool crazy recently so i have no choice but to accompany him. The 2 of us will be meeting Jem later at maybe around 6 or 7plus for pool. If you noticed, the 3 of us basically spend our time playing pool together. It seems that the sport is giving us bonding time. LOL. That's all for now! Will update again soon! =)
