Science Centre!

It has been study study study both both Rebecca and i for the past few weeks. We finally had the time to squeeze in to go out and have some time to relax and celebrate the end of her prelims before we continue to jiayou! :D
I shall post a little bit on our fun Science Centre trip! Or rather, i shall let the photos do the talking! :)
We had a fun day all in all and it's time we head back to our books! I hope for all the best for Rebecca's prelim results which will be released next week! :)

Work, study, and YOG!

Haven't been blogging for quite some time! I've finally managed to squeeze in some time to blog! :)
I've been recently busy with work and studying! A rough schedule of what my week has been like is work, study, work, study. It's a pretty mundane cycle, but thankfully my studying sessions are with my dearest Rebecca and that makes studying more fun! It is amidst Rebecca's prelims period now, and i really want her to do well so i've turned all our dates into study dates! Friday is the only rest day for her! And part of my 'motivation plan' to motivate her to study harder is to actually sit beside her and dedicate a few hours everyday to study for myself too! No harm gaining extra knowledge. :D
It's amidst the YOG period in Singapore now and my workplace has been so packed with foreigners! Sporting events like Boxing and Wrestling are held at the Convention Centre and my bus route to work has been diverted!
I'm gonna bathe and have my lunch real soon and i'm off to fetch Rebecca from school and we will be on our studying session till evening again! Hope to blog again soon and hopefully i have ideas for a more interesting blog post coz there are no ideas on my mind as to blog today thus resulting in the short blogpost! :P

Rebecca's sweet 16!

It was my dearest Rebecca's birthday just two weeks after my 18th birthday! We had the celebration on her birthday day itself and i feel really honoured to have the whole day! :D Her birthday was actually on Tuesday, 2 days back, but i am only able to blog about it now because i've been loaded with work for the past few days! /:Anyway, here is a rough idea of what our plans were on that day! :)
8.30am - 9.30am > Left home to pick Rebecca up from her house!
9.45am - 11.30am > Spent time on the bus from Rebecca's house to my house, and changing buses till we finally got to our destination, Suntec!
11.30am - 1.15pm > Buffet brunch at Sizzler, Suntec City!
1.15pm - 1.50pm > Played arcade at Marina Square!
1.50pm - 3.50pm > Watched the movie, SALT! :D
4pm - 7pm > Kbox at marina square! :)
7pm - 8pm > Dinner at BK.
8pm - 8.30pm> Birthday surprise at Esplanade! ;)
8.45pm - 10.30pm > Sending Rebecca safely back home!
10.30pm - 12am > Reached back home after sending my de arest Rebecca back and feeling tired coz we had a fun and long day! :D
That was a rough idea of how our day went! I shall do some elaboration on the fun activities we had that day! First up of my plans was to go for buffet brunch at Siz zler! Sizzler is an actually an American Steak, Seafood and Salad Restaurant and i've been there once with my family and the food was awesome! I promised to bring Rebecca there on her birthday and the both of us were so excited when we reached coz we were hun gry and we finally saw FOOOOOD! :D The both of us were gluttons and we ate our food heartily! We finally stopped at our 8th round of salad bar and Rebecca was filled to the brim while i didn't want to eat too much because i would feel uneasy if i sang with a super full stomach later on!
Next up on our list of plans was to catch a movie. We wanted to catch the new movie "Salt" coz it seems nice and it's the first movie that Angelina Jolie directed! We went over to Marina Square to purchase our tickets for the show and since we still had some time off the clock before our movie started, we decided to visit the nearby arcade for a game or two. We played this game machine which i called the "Couple game". It's actually a two player game wher e i usually see couples play, hence deriving it's name! :D We had a couple of rounds playing Initial D too! Rebecca knew that i loved playing car racing games so she accompanied me to play!
The clock soon ticked 1.50pm and we were off for our movie! It ended at about 3.50pm and i would say that the movie is really action packed and has Angelina Jolie doing lots of dangerous stuns in it. The only part that leaves us clueless was that after watching the whole movie, Rebecca and i couldn't make out what the storyline was!
We raced to 4th plan of the day which was our Kbox session! The both of us are avid singers, so we really enjoyed the singing session! We sang many duet songs that day! About 20 or so songs that we selected were duet songs! :D 3 hours went by in a whizz and our singing session was soon over. We then proceeded for dinner at a cheaper place coz we had spent quite a bomb earlier on. We went to Burger King for our lower cost dinner. Haha! After our dinner, i told Rebecca that we had to wrap up and leave the place at about 8pm because i wanted to bring her to one last place!

I took her to Esplanade where i told her a surprise would await her. We went to the Roof Terrace which was at the top of the Esplanade. When we were there, i asked Rebecca to turn around while i arranged the presents for her! Yes, not one but a few presents! :D I asked her to stretch out her hands and close her eyes and only open them when i told her to do so. The first present was a handmade bag of 16 straw hearts and a birthday note! I expected her to be kinda disappointed with the first present, but she wasn't! This cute and adorable girl was beaming eye to eye at the first present already! I was wondering what to expect with the subsequent presents. I asked her to close her eyes and stretch out her hand the second time and this time i placed an envelope in her hands. She opened it up and it was actually a birthday card handwritten by me! :D The repeated the process of asking her to close her eyes and stretch out her hands again and this time i placed a box in her hands. She was actually quite curious what the contents of the box were and i asked her to open it up. It was actually a display ornament with a 24k gold plated stand and a Swarovski crystal heart at the centre! Rebecca was exclaiming how beautiful it was and i'm glad she liked it. :)
Just before her excitement dies down, i told her that wasn't all and i took out another envelope. There was another letter inside and there was something else besides the letter which she really loved a lot. It was a handmade DVD of our memories and fun that we had together during the time spent with her and at the last part of the movie clip, i had a short video saying that i want to wish my dearest Rebecca a very happy sweet 16th and i played the birthday song on the piano as a closure to the movie clip. I had my laptop hidden inside my bag the whole day, so when i took out the laptop to let her watch the contents of the DVD, she was quite shocked! She was really touched after watching the video and gave me a warm hug. And nope, that's not all. I asked her to stand up and cover her eyes with her hands. This was the final present that i was gonna present to her and i took out a case. I asked her to open her eyes and when she did, i opened the case to reveal a silver necklace with the initials "J" in blue and "R" in pink. It was actually a custom made necklace that i decided to get for her so that it would be the only one of it's kind around! :D
With all 5 presents presented to Rebecca, she was really very touched and happy to the max and this made me feel really happy too. I have been telling her that i was really looking forward to her birthday day for some reason even before my own birthday! I wasn't sure what the reason was until her birthday day itself and after i presented her the presents. I told her that the main reason why i was looking forward to the 10th of August so much was not because of what activities i had planned, seeing her that day, or spending one whole day with her. Those were reasons why i was looking forward to her birthday, but the main reason was to see her beautiful smile when she received the presents which i spent lots of effort on. And yes, her smile that day after she received the presents was bright enough to light up the entire town. :)
