My last week here in SG.
Friday, November 19, 2010
Time flies and it's already Friday before i know it. For those who are wondering why, it is due to the fact that i'll be leaving Singapore next Thursday, on the 24th of Nov and i will only be back on the 7th of Dec. I will be flying to Hong Kong first. We might shop around Hong Kong for a day or two, and then from Hong Kong, we will make our way to Shenzhen where my aunt is staying at. Will be staying there for a couple of days too before we take another flight down to Guilin, China. It is said to be It's a family trip, and possibly my last family trip as a whole family, because after after this year, my sister will be flying to the States for her tertiary education and i will be entering army. Only my younger brother will be left at home with my parents.

I will be taking my Napfa test this coming Wednesday, just a day before my trip. If i manage to clear it, then i will be granted an additional 2 month holiday till February before i enlist into the army. If i fail to clear my Napfa test, that would mean that i have to admit into the army on the 9th of Dec, which is just two days after i return from my overseas trip. This two months means a lot to me and i really want these two months so badly. This precious two months would mean that i will be able to celebrate Christmas, the start of year 2011, the Chinese New Year, and maybe even Valentine's Day! Most importantly, it also means that i will be able to spend more time with my family, friends and my darling Rebecca Babygirl! So please grant me this two months and let me clear my Napfa test. Please!

Belated 4th Monthsary Celebrations! ❤
Wednesday, November 17, 2010
Time flies and before we knew it, baby and i had our 4th monthsary celebrations! We had a belated celebration yesterday because we postponed our monthsary plans to after baby's O levels!
Yesterday's 4th monthsary celebrations was planned by me and i'm really glad that my baby had an awesome time! This was how my list of plans looked like:

1) 10.30am > Pick baby up from her house! :)

2) 10.30am-11.30am > On our journey to The Cathay!

3) 12pm-1pm > Lunch @ The Cathay's Nihon Mura! :D

4) 1pm-3pm> Finished lunch and Movie time!

5) 3.30pm-4pm > Headed over to Cathay Cineleisure

6) 4pm-7.30pm > KBOX! :D

7) 7.45pm-8.30pm > Dinner at The Centrepoint's Astons Prime. :D

8) 9pm-11pm > Sent baby back home!

9) 11pm-12am >Home sweet home!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yup, so that was a rough idea of how my monthsary went! :)
I wanted to be special for this month's monthsary celebrations, so i planned
my activities such that i didnt let my baby know what my day's plans for her were. At different intervals, i handed her small cards with a riddle for her to guess what the next activity was! Haha! I handed the first card to baby after i met up with her. She didn't know where we would be going because i kept the plans a secret and after guessing the first riddle, she answered it correctly and off we were to The Cathay! :D
First up on my list of plans was to go eat as i expected my baby to be hungry and i was righttt! We went to Nihon Mura to have our lunch and i t was baby's first time there. She said the food tasted awes ome! :)
After our lunch, we went to catch a movie! We watched the show "RED" and it's quite a nice show! It's a part romance, part action, part comedy show! And guess what RED stands for? It doesn't stand for the colour red, but it stands for Retired Extr
emely Dangerous! What a joke right! HAHAHA! After our m ovie, it was already about 3.30pm. :D
After our show, it was raining so we waited for the rain to stop before we resumed our plans. We took a bus down to Cathay Cineleisure where we went to our beloved KBOX! Both baby and i haven't been singing for ages and our standard of singin
g has deproved! But nevertheless, both of us had an awesome t
ime screaming our lungs out! We sing sang sung from 4pm till about 7.30pm and we proceeded for dinner after that! :D
After our Kbox session, we walked over to The Centrepoint for our dinner at Astons! We didn't order our usual Black Pepper chicken as we were at Astons Prime and it wasn't served there! We ordered chicken steak and two side dishes each instead. It didn't look like it was filling, but it sure was!
And after our dinner, the much awaited moment came! And it was none other than my passing of presents to my baby! I first handed her my hand written card that i wrote for her every monthsary. After that, I handed my baby a wrapped up present and she ripped it apart to unveil a jigsaw-puzzle of me and her! :D It was nicely framed
up and baby was really happy! The best was not over yet and amidst her excitement, i took out a box and when she opened it up, a pair of couple t-shirts were inside! One for me and one for her! :D She was happy to the max and i must say that if you asked me which part of the day i enjoyed most, i would gladly say that i enjoyed seeing my baby's smile after receiving my presents the most! That smile plastered on her face is the sweetest smile ever and every month, that smile just gets brighter and brighter! I love you dear and you mean the world to me! ❤
NS Napfa Test
Friday, November 5, 2010
I've had a new obsession lately. I've been so obsessed that i can't stop doing it for even one day! And my latest obsession is doing regular workouts like running and pullups! Some of you may ask, why the sudden urge to do it?
I've been really slack with my exercise lately until i received a letter from Mindef recently stating that my enlistment date is due on the 9th of Dec 2010 which is just a month away and it totally shocked me! I was so so nervous and caught unaware because i always thought that i would only be going in during Feb next year! Thankfully, i heard that if i manage to pass my NS Napfa test with at least a silver, then i would be able to skip the PTP (for those without Napfa) and admit straight for the BMT which means that i would be able to enjoy another 2 month plus of holiday. :) The items that i would have to clear are the Sit ups, Standing Broad Jump, Shuttle Run, Sit and Reach, Pull-ups, and the 2.4km run.
As a regular sporty guy, i didn't have problems getting my gold for Napfa tests during my primary and secondary school days without prior training. However, this time round i know that i haven't been exercises regularly and i am super afraid about my NS test! I've been training and training every day especially for the 2.4km run and the pull-ups. I guess my greatest challenge is the pull-ups. I haven't been practicing for a really long time and i biceps aren't as toned up anymore. I've been really doing my pull-ups and push-ups every day to train up my muscles and i finally took the Napfa test few days back on Wednesday! Everything was fine for me and i passed it all until the pull-ups section. I couldn't even do the minimum of 5 to pass and i was really very disappointed in myself. Before my Napfa test, i actually had a blister already. But due to me overstraining myself during the test, my blister tore and it was really painful! My muscles also felt really strained and stiff after the test and i've been trying to rest them before i resume training.
I will be scheduling to book my second round of Napfa test this coming Wednesday again and i will keep trying till i get my silver for my Napfa! I want my extra 2 months of holiday coz it really means a lot to me. This two months would mean that i would have more time to spend with my family, my dearest girlfriend, and my friends. I am really gonna give it my all and persevere through the arduous training! Good luck to myself and others who are taking the Napfa test! :)
